What is a Beach Clean Up

A beach clean up is a volunteering activity dedicated to collecting waste along beaches and coastlines. During these events, people of all ages join to clean up the environment, protect the sea and contribute concretely to safeguarding the territory.

Our beach cleanup events in Tuscany are not just waste collection days, but moments of sharing, awareness and action. Taking part means joining an active community, getting involved and making a difference, together.

Every clean up is organized to be accessible to everyone: no experience needed, just the will to contribute. We provide guidance, support and the tools you need to take part safely and with maximum impact.

What we do

We're not a non-profit: no ties, no fundraising, no ecological preaching.

Our Clean Ups are moments of sharing, awareness and action. Beach + waste collection + gamification + aperitivo: we turn an individual habit (collecting plastic between kite sessions) into a recurring community event on the Tuscan coast.

Collected waste is transformed: non-recoverable items are responsibly disposed, recyclable plastics become eco-friendly merchandise that funds future initiatives.

Taking part and community

Nexta srl promotes the health of the marine environment, also through a community that conceives and lives the sea as a value to protect, as a primary environmental asset and as a means and occasion for gathering and socializing, expressed both through sport and through organizing and sharing environmental initiatives. Taking part in the waste collection is therefore subject to joining the community, considered an essential tool to give substance to the marine environment protection project.

N.B. A full bag counts +3 pts only if waste has been sorted correctly. Scoring for unusual waste and for creativity and team spirit is at the staff's discretion.

Important

Every team must sort waste correctly.
Hazardous waste must be reported to the organizers.
Play safe: gloves, grabbers, care with dangerous objects.

Winning team: highest score.
Weirdest object collected.
Participant publishing the most content (posts and stories) with the official hashtag.

Every scrap can have a second life

What we collect on the beaches is not just garbage: it's a resource waiting to be transformed. Non-recoverable waste is disposed of responsibly, while reusable plastics are processed and turned into eco-friendly gear, generating proceeds that fund the project and future cleanup initiatives. Part of the proceeds is also donated to charity, supporting environmental causes.
